Toddler Is Legit 'Mind-Blown' While Watching 'Toy Story' After Realizing 'Buzz Lightyear' Toy Is a Celebrity

As a big fan of Disney movies, one of the things I looked forward to most about being a mom was being able to introduce all of my favorites to my own kid. My daughter is only 4 years old, but somehow, we’ve already been through several Disney-related phases together, from the time Frozen was all we watched on repeat to the Beauty and the Beast obsession that still crops back up from time to time. But so far, nothing has touched her love for Toy Story. She’s loved it for years, and she plays with her toys from the movie almost daily. 

She appears to have a lot in common with the little one in the TikTok video below, but it seems like his fam did things a bit differently. Instead of showing him the movie first, they let him play with the toys, which led to this mind-blowing moment here. 

On Monday, November 18, @kenzischamel shared the sweetest video of her son Hendrix cuddled on the couch with his Buzz Lightyear toy beside him (yes, they are holding hands) and his Woody doll in his lap. 

Toddlers aren’t exactly known for their long attention spans, so how still he’s sitting while he watches this movie really says a lot about how much this is blowing his mind. Has he even blinked? 

The zoom in on Hendrix’s hand holding Buzz’s is just too much. “Now, he’s holding hands with a celebrity,” his mom wrote in her caption. 

This precious boy may have just discovered that his toys are famous. Who knew?! 

Commenters were also asking if she’d written Hendrix’s name on the bottom of Buzz’s foot the way that Andy did in the movies, so of course, a follow up video was necessary. She showed that she’d written his name right where it goes to show that this toy belongs to Hendrix… and she even wrote the “D” in his name backwards, just like Andy did. Stop it! 

And can we talk about Hendrix wearing his Buzz Lightyear pajamas too? This little guy is so cute, and these videos will be really cool for his mom to show her when he’s old enough to understand. 

It’s always special when your child discovers something they really love, especially when they’re young enough that they’re first starting to figure out what their favorite things and interests are. It’s even more special when it’s a movie that so many of us also enjoyed as kids.
