Toronto Blue Jays sign 18 prospects

TORONTO – The Toronto Blue Jays have signed 15 players selected in the 2023 Major League Baseball Draft and three undrafted free agents.

First-round draft pick Arjun Nimala was signed on Monday, with the remaining 17 prospects announced today.

Toronto doesn’t have a second-round pick, and third-round pick Juaron Watts-Brown hasn’t yet agreed terms with the Blue Jays.

The new contracts include fourth- and fifth-round picks Landen Mardis and Conor O’Halloran.

Outfielder Jace Bolofen, shortstop Nick Goodwin, outfielders Braden Barry and Sam Shaw, and sixth-to-10th-round pick Josh Morrells have agreed to deals.

Grant Rodgers and Chay Yeager, outfielder Brennan Orf, Kelena Sauer, Jackson Hornung, and Aaron Manson and Kai Peterson also signed from the draft class.

Undrafted free agents Bryce Arnold (second baseman), Nate LaRue (catcher) and JJ Sanchez (pitcher) also agreed to deals.
