While Scottie Barnes might play in one of the eight NBA cities that don’t also have an NFL franchise, that didn’t stop the Toronto Raptors All-Star forward from going on a bit of a road trip over the weekend.

With a few days off from their NBA schedule, Barnes made the trip to Orchard Park, New York, to check out his favourite NFL team, the Baltimore Ravens, in action against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.

Joined by teammates Garrett Temple and Immanuel Quickley, a Lamar Jackson jersey-wearing Barnes braved the elements, including snow and sub-zero temperatures, to check out an epic matchup.

“It’s cold as sh*t at the Ravens game right now,” Barnes said in a video uploaded to Instagram. “This ain’t no Bills game, this is a Ravens game, baby!”

Barnes also shared a clip of him cheering on a Ravens fan chugging a tall can of Miller Lite in the cold.

Barnes and his teammates were treated to a pretty epic matchup, with the game coming right down to the wire in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately for Baltimore fans, it’ll be remembered as one of the most devastating losses in franchise history, with Mark Andrews dropping a potential game-tying two-point conversion on what ended up being the Ravens’ final drive.

“Goodnight chat,” Barnes wrote while sharing the final 27-25 score graphic from the team’s account. “Logging off. Can’t believe it.”

Despite growing up in West Palm Beach, Florida, Barnes became a Ravens fan as a way to spite his Pittsburgh Steelers-supporting brother, he told us in 2022.

Barnes and the rest of his Raptors teammates return to the court on Tuesday night when they host the Orlando Magic at Scotiabank Arena.
