Air Canada has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to Tokyo and Osaka, Japan down to $1067 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
It’s possible to find nonstop flights both ways on certain dates. Or you can find 1 stop flights that connect through Vancouver or Montreal.
To Osaka (KIX – Kansai), nonstop flights are available up until October 24th.
You can also fly into Tokyo (Narita – NRT), and out of Osaka, or vice versa.
UPDATE: Air Canada’s nonstop flights aren’t quite as cheap anymore (currently $1200-$1400 roundtrip). United’s 1 stop flights are currently $1007 to $1082 roundtrip..

How to find and book this deal
1. Start with the following Google Flights search:
Google Flights: Toronto to Tokyo, Japan
Google Flights: Toronto to Osaka, Japan
Google Flights: Toronto to Tokyo and then Osaka to Toronto
– Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view.
– Browse for the cheapest dates by adjusting the trip length at the bottom.
– Look for the dates that are $1073 roundtrip
2. Go to Kayak or Skyscanner or FlightHub
3. Search for a flight from Toronto (YYZ) to Tokyo, Japan (TYO)
– Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.
