The Traitors winner Rob Rausch has confirmed details regarding his luxury apology purchase for co-star Maura Higgins.
For several weeks, Peacock audiences tuned in to watch the star-studded season four cast of The Traitors. Throughout the season, strong alliances were formed, with one of the most notable bonds developing between Love Island stars Rausch and Higgins.
After months of watching the pair’s close relationship grow, the shocking season finale betrayal—where Rausch was revealed as a traitor—left fans outraged on Higgins’ behalf. Thankfully, at the season reunion, Rausch extended an olive branch, or rather… a Birkin branch. Higgins revealed that despite her broken trust, she had chosen to forgive Rob, but only after he promised to buy her a Hermès Birkin bag.

In an interview with People, Rausch confirmed that the purchase has indeed happened, reporting that Higgins would receive the bag tonight. Rausch admits that he recruited Lisa Rinna—Beverly Hills Housewife and fellow season traitor—to set him up with the luxury purchase.
“As soon as I told her about it, she was like, ‘I will help you,'” he said. “She’s a very well-connected woman, and she did it. She gave me all her resources and originally I was going to get it from a guy in Paris. I was going to actually have to go to Paris, which I was going to do. But now we got someone in New York City, and it’s going to be great.”
Rausch revealed that the specific bag was an easy decision for Higgins. The Traitors finalist told Rausch that the bag made up for her not winning the grand prize.
“She told me immediately she wanted burgundy with gold accent, size 30,” he said. “I should have a Birkin in my possession, and I’m gonna give it to her tonight. She thinks she basically won because she’s getting a Birkin.”
As for the $220,800 prize money, Rausch hasn’t seen a dime of it yet. The Love Island star admits that Maura’s Birkin was bought with the pennies he could scrape together, making the gesture all the more endearing.
“I don’t have the [prize] money,” he says. “Luckily, I have enough pennies to scrap together for Maura’s Birkin.”
When the checks do clear, Rausch reveals the money will go toward providing financial stability for his family.
