The Travel Technology Association (Travel Tech) will host the inaugural Start-Up Summit and the second annual Policy & Innovation Showcase on May 7, 2025.

The Travel Technology Association (Travel Tech), a non-profit organization committed to advocating for the travel technology industry, is set to host two key events on May 7, 2025 at Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The inaugural Start-Up Summit and the second annual Policy & Innovation Showcase are designed to bring together industry leaders, start-ups, and policymakers.

The Start-Up Summit aims to provide a platform for pre-seed and seed start-ups to network with other travel technology entrepreneurs and industry leaders. The event will feature lightning pitches from travel technology start-ups, such as Sevenly Travel, SparrowBid, and Tripshepherd. The Summit will also offer informational sessions with travel tech experts, covering topics such as strategies for maximizing angel investors and venture investments, seeking funding from the Small Business Administration (SBA), and advocating for public policies that support entrepreneurship.

Following the Start-Up Summit, Travel Tech will host its second annual Policy & Innovation Showcase on Capitol Hill. This event will allow attendees to hear from industry experts, interact with Travel Tech member companies, and understand the Association’s efforts to make travel more transparent, competitive, and innovative for consumers. The Showcase will also feature panel discussions on sports tourism ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 LA Olympics, as well as the role of public policy in supporting travel tech innovation and growth.

Event sponsors include Airbnb, Amadeus, Booking Holdings, Chase Travel Group, Sabre, Travelport, and Tripadvisor. The Start-Up Summit will take place from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the Policy & Innovation Showcase from 5 pm to 7 pm.
