Netflix just made a major Christmas announcement—and the streaming platform used clips of Travis Kelce to share the news.

According to a 30-second trailer posted on social media on Sunday, Oct. 20, two NFL games will stream on Netflix on Christmas Day. The first matchup will feature Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the second game will feature the Baltimore Ravens playing the Houston Texans.

The trailer, which compiled several clips from earlier NFL games, began with a view of Kelce slapping his chest as he ran out onto a football field. “What a day for some football, baby!” he yelled in excitement. Kelce’s teammate, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, also appeared in three brief clips included in the trailer, as did several other popular NFL players. A second clip of Kelce made a brief appearance near the end of the trailer, as well.

“For the first time ever the NFL is live on Netflix,” read text that appeared over the clips. “Huddle up for a new tradition.”

In addition to the trailer that Netflix shared on social media, the streaming giant also added a countdown to Christmas on Tudum, its companion website.

Netflix has experimented with streaming live events in the past, though most have focused on comedy and entertainment. As Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria said in a Sunday press release, “There are no live annual events, sports or otherwise, that compare with the audiences NFL football attracts.”

Kelce and his teammates are scheduled to play the Steelers in the afternoon on Wednesday, Dec. 25. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. The Ravens-Texans game is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. ET.

When Netflix dropped its Christmas Day trailer on Sunday, the Chiefs were just a few hours away from playing the San Francisco 49ers in the teams’ first matchup since Super Bowl LVIII in February. The Chiefs were enjoying a five-game winning streak at the time Sunday’s game began.
