Fans have discovered that Travis Kelce shares a remarkable resemblance to a historical figure, and it’s left them with countless questions about the potential connection between the two.
A photo making the rounds on X, reportedly taken at the Pony Express National Museum in St. Joseph, Mo., shows Alexander Majors—one of the founders of the mail delivery system—circa 1860. In the sepia-toned snap, he appears to be dressed up in a suit jacket and a vest with a ruffled bib and bowtie, with a top hat perched atop his head.

His bearded face bore such “uncanny” similarities to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end that “at first glance” one fan even believed it was a picture of the athlete during his time on the Eras Tour stage “with a filter” overlaying it.
“Uh does Travis Kelce have a time machine or a relative from the pony express days,” the person who posted the photo on social media asked, declaring, “I have questions.”

“Eerie…. just spooky as all get out….” one person wrote in response, while another dubbed the whole thing “insane.”
Many also pointed to a number of “crazy” coincidences relating to the two men, including the fact that Majors had 13 children (Taylor Swift’s lucky number), the fact that their birthdays are a day apart (Majors was born on Oct. 4, 1814, while Kelce was born on Oct. 5, 1989), and the fact that the Pony Express was cofounded in St. Joseph, where the Chiefs’ training camp is located.
“Hes [sic] timeless babe. Taylor wrote a song about it,” someone else joked, as countless others tagged Jason Kelce and the New Heights account in the hopes that Kelce would address his doppelganger on the next episode of the podcast.
“just flash this on Trav’s screen next week just no context,” one jokingly suggested, while others laughed over the idea of one of the brothers having to read off the original poster’s username on air.
