As a three-time Super Bowl champion who will soon be vying for a fourth ring, Travis Kelce has faced cheering crowds tons of times over the course of his career. However, there was one crowd experience unrelated to football that Kelce said he will “never forget.”

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end reflected on the moment during a recent interview with Westwood One Sports’ Laura Okmin. An audio clip from their conversation was posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday, Feb. 8, just hours before Kelce was due to play in Super Bowl LIX.

In the clip, Okmin asked the 35-year-old about an evening in June 2024 when his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift, invited him to join her onstage for a concert at Wembley Stadium in London, England. While Kelce attended several of Swift’s Eras Tour shows from the time they began dating in mid-2023 through the end of her tour last fall, the show at Wembley was the first—and only—time that he made an appearance onstage.

“I’ve been on a few stages in my life. That one was definitely the most shocking,” Kelce told Okmin. “I felt like a ant in a whole new world.”

The NFL star remembered listening to the crowd going “insane” and having to remind himself, “Oh, snap. I have a job to do. I gotta lock in, and I gotta make this fun. I gotta make this entertaining.”

The “Fortnight” songstress “gave me the opportunity to go up there and have some fun,” he said. “Why not, you know, show her how much fun we can really have up there? And, sure enough, the crowd was off their rocker. It was insane in there for quite a while.”

The night resulted in “a memory I’ll never forget, for sure,” he added.

Kelce shared his memories of that June 2024 Eras Tour show as he and his teammates were preparing to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. The Kansas City team is hoping to become the first in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls at the game on Sunday, Feb. 9.
