TTC riders have yet another subway closure to look forward to this coming weekend, when the transit agency plans to shut down service along a roughly five-kilometre stretch of track.

The TTC has announced that there will be no subway service on Line 2 between Victoria Park and Kennedy stations on the Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, March 28 and continuing through Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30.

It will be just the latest in a series of full-weekend closures the commission attributes to ongoing track work.

Staff revealed at the start of the year that they had planned a staggering 38 full-weekend outages for 2025, and riders have been enduring regular subway service disruptions throughout the first three months of the year so far.

The eastern extent of Line 2, which spans Victoria Park, Warden and Kennedy stations, will be replaced by shuttle buses throughout the closure.

Passengers can still access Victoria Park and Kennedy stations to connect with surface routes, purchase fares and reload Presto cards.
