Aleph Hospitality, a hospitality management company active in the Middle East and Africa, has taken over two luxury resorts in Morocco: Marchica Lagoon Resort in Nador and Michlifen Resort & Golf in Ifrane. By signing agreements with the resort owners, Aleph Hospitality has expanded its operations into Morocco and introduced its hospitality management expertise to both locations.

Marchica Lagoon Resort, located near the Mediterranean in northern Morocco, is 45 minutes from Nador International Airport. The resort has 93 rooms and suites, seven restaurants and bars, and various leisure facilities. These include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a beach club, water sports options, a spa with a hammam, a fitness center, a kids’ club, and tennis courts. The resort also features space for events and meetings, with views of the lagoon and expansive gardens.

Michlifen Resort & Golf, located in Ifrane and backed by the Middle Atlas mountains, is styled as a luxurious Alpine chalet. At an altitude of 1,650 meters, the resort experiences snow in winter and a cool mountain climate in summer. It is an hour’s drive from Fes Sais International Airport. The resort features 72 suites, seven food and beverage outlets, a golf and country club, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a kids club, a mountain spa with two hammams and a Balneotherapy Centre. It also offers facilities for meetings and events, a business center, an indoor multi-purpose sports hall, and a theatre.

In 2023, Morocco saw a 34% increase in tourism compared to 2022, with 14.5 million tourists. This surpasses the pre-pandemic record of 13 million arrivals in 2019. The rise in tourism aligns with the government’s plan to invest USD 580 million to attract 17.5 million tourists by 2026. The plan involves introducing new airline routes in preparation for the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.

Aleph Hospitality’s Founder and Managing Director, Bani Haddad, expressed excitement about the company’s expansion into Morocco. He mentioned the promising conditions in Morocco, the government’s plans to boost the tourism sector, and the company’s eagerness to work with resort owners to enhance their operations.
