The U.S. hotel industry recorded positive year-over-year results for the week of May 31 through June 6, 2026, according to CoStar. Nationwide occupancy reached 67.9%, up 1.3% from the comparable week in 2025. The average daily rate (ADR) rose 4.0% to $168.43, while revenue per available room (RevPAR) increased 5.3% to $114.30.
Among the Top 25 Markets, Philadelphia saw the highest occupancy increase, up 9.8% to 75.3%. Chicago posted the largest gains in ADR, up 14.5% to $237.53, and RevPAR, up 23.9% to $198.21, supported by the U.S. Men’s National Team World Cup send-off match.
Overall, 21 of the Top 25 Markets reported year-over-year RevPAR growth. Nashville experienced the steepest RevPAR decline, down 7.5% to $138.99, despite hosting CMA Fest.
