Swifties – this one’s for you! The Eras Tour is nearly here in Vancouver, and that means we’re gearing up for all things Swifty-mania. And what better way to get in the mood than by visiting places across the city that remind us of her different eras – starting with bars?!

Whether you’ve managed to snag tickets to her concert or not, we’re here to share the Vancouver bars you should go to depending on your favourite Taylor Swift era.

Taylor Swift Era: The Magnet

When we think of Taylor’s debut album, we think of her peak country era. We’re talking banjos, fiddles, and a ‘hopeless romantic’ feel in the best way. So all that considered, we think The Magnet is a delightful spot that hits all of the above in some way or another. The semi-rustic spot is adorned with beautiful vines and plants, twinkling lights, and has all of your classic pours ready to go.

Where: 309 West Pender Street

Fearless: La Fabrique St-George

Doubling as one of the only wineries in the city, La Fabrique is your go-to spot for delicious natural wine, an occasional jazz night, and a cozy time by their fireplace. With minimalistic decor, tables and couches, and candles galore, all that’s missing is your favourite bops from the Fearless album and a good book.

Where: 7 East 7th Avenue

Speak Now: Just Another

A cafe by day and a wine bar by night, we think Just Another perfectly encapsulates the Speak Now album. A light and airy ambiance that’s carefully adorned with vibrant details and flowers, you’ll want to sink into a chair here and never get up. In addition to amazing espresso beverages, you’ll find a rotation of juicy cocktails, ciders, and wines that are too refreshing to pass up.

Where: 3040 West Broadway

Red: Red Accordion

Situated in a Victorian-style character house, The Red Accordion is the perfect place to pop in for a cozy drink that we think perfectly captures the mood of the Red album. Not only is the two-storey bar full of vintage decor and furniture, but there’s even a namesake red accordion hanging in the dining room!

Where: 1616 Alberni Street

1989: The Parker Rooftop

What better place to pretend you’re inside the 1989 album than at Vancouver’s number-one rooftop patio? Here, guests are treated to sweeping views of the city from the ninth floor of The Parker Hotel, along with some great happy hour deals every day from 3 to 6 pm – including $1.50 oysters!

Where: 1379 Howe Street, 9th floor

Reputation: Mum’s The Word

Mum’s The Word is a great hangout spot that packs a punch – in the best way. You’ve got coffee, local brews, and craft cocktails to choose from, all in a laid-back atmosphere with neon lighting, quirky decor, comfortable seating, and even board games. Plus, the outdoor patio is covered, ready to lounge at come rain or shine!

Where: 1301 Commercial Drive

Lover: Pinky’s On Main

It’s fun, it’s flirty, it’s pink, it’s Pinky’s On Main – AKA the ideal spot to cozy up in on Main Street with a couple of friends or a date (or solo!) for your favourite brew and a couple of tunes on their jukebox.

Where: 2420 Main Street

Folklore & Evermore: Arcana Spirit Lounge

This hidden Vancouver bar is occult-themed, inviting guests to indulge in a variety of spirits – and we don’t just mean drinks. So if you’re looking for a unique spot that offers a variety of innovative sips and upscale French comfort food, get ready to visit this spooky yet cozy hole-in-the-wall.

Where: 238 Abbott Street

Midnights: Meo

If you love 70s nostalgia and Midnights is your fave album, we think Meo is your spot. The Chinatown snack bar recently opened this year and has already perfected its playful, nostalgic vibe. Situated underneath Kissa Tanto, the sibling bar invites guests into a dimly lit room with romantic pink accents, retro wood panelling, plush seating, and a vintage jukebox. And of course, some of the best sips in town.

Where: 265 East Pender Street

The Tortured Poets Department: Key Party

With a faux entrance that looks like an office, this Vancouver speakeasy is a fun and eclectic spot inspired by the 60s and 70s, when actual ‘Key Parties’ were popular amongst swingers. Don’t worry though, it’s just a name here!

Where: 2305 Main Street
