IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered into a management agreement with Hanu Overseas to introduce its Vignette Collection brand to India. The new hotel, scheduled to open in early 2026, will be located in Panchkula, part of the Chandigarh Metropolitan Region.
The planned property will add 145 rooms, including 11 suites, to IHG’s portfolio in India. The hotel will feature four dining venues, including a signature restaurant, lobby lounge, and private dining space. Additional amenities will include a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, retail outlets, and parking facilities.
The hotel will offer more than 2,200 square meters of meeting and event space. According to the company, the property is positioned to address demand for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) as well as social events such as weddings in the region.
Panchkula is part of a tri-city cluster with Chandigarh and Mohali, which is home to IT parks, automotive companies, pharmaceutical and manufacturing hubs, public sector units, and national institutions. The location was selected as part of IHG’s strategy to expand its presence in India’s luxury segment.
This signing follows other IHG projects in the Chandigarh Metropolitan Region, including the upcoming Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur and Holiday Inn and Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur. IHG currently operates 51 hotels across six brands in India and has a pipeline of 80 hotels expected to open in the next three to five years.
No further details on the project timeline or investment figures were disclosed.
