IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened voco The Club – Dublin Gateway, marking its first voco hotel in the Republic of Ireland and the company’s 10th property in Ireland.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of voco The Club – Dublin Gateway, located in County Kildare, Ireland. The hotel, a conversion project, is set to be fully rebranded by the end of summer 2025. This development increases IHG’s portfolio in Ireland to 10 properties, including both open and pipeline projects.

The voco brand, launched in 2018, is part of IHG’s fastest-growing premium segment, with over 100 hotels open globally. The brand’s design flexibility and operational framework are tailored for conversions, allowing owners to integrate into IHG’s system with minimal initial costs. voco The Club – Dublin Gateway is situated on a 12-acre site, 15 miles west of Dublin, in a region known for its horse racing heritage. The location offers strategic access to the N7 motorway, connecting Dublin with Cork and Limerick.

The hotel features 50 rooms, an award-winning brasserie-style restaurant, an outdoor spa with hot tubs and a sauna, and multiple meeting spaces. It also provides ample parking facilities. The property’s location in County Kildare, known as “Thoroughbred County,” is expected to attract both domestic and international visitors due to its proximity to key transport routes.

Dublin has been a top-performing European capital city for tourism, with over seven million international visitors annually since 2014. Oxford Economics projects an 11% annual growth in visitor numbers through 2026. In 2024, overseas visitors spent more than €6 billion in Ireland, an 11% increase from the previous year, highlighting the economic importance of tourism.

voco The Club – Dublin Gateway is part of a broader expansion strategy for IHG in Europe, with more than 30 voco properties currently open and 19 in development. Recent announcements include voco London – Waterloo and voco Antalya Konyaaltı, the latter set to be the first voco in Turkey upon its opening in 2028.
