Walmart Is Selling ‘Comfortable’ $20 Suede Clogs Similar to Birkenstocks 8X the Price

There’s a good reason why people always come back to those suede clog-style shoes. Whether the classic pair by Birkenstock or copycat shoes from another brand, suede clogs are synonymous with fall and colder weather. Many retailers do sell their own versions of this clog, including Walmart; they have a pair that are very similar to the original Birkenstock clogs that are eight times the price.

Walmart’s Time and Tru Women’s Buckle Clogs are only $19.98 and marked as a best seller. They are a classic clog shoe, with a footbed that mimics a cork material and a closed upper part that you can just slip into. And, of course, don’t forget the buckle on the side. They’re not fully identically to Birkenstocks, but they’re pretty darn close.

Time and Tru Women’s Buckle Clogs, $19.98 at Walmart

Walmart’s clogs aren’t very tall, with a low wedge design for the outsole (which is made of 100% EVA foam with “flocked fibers”). The site says that the footbed is “cushioned” and it has a non-marking sole. As for the upper part of the shoe, it’s made with 100% microfiber and mimics suede. This suede version comes in five colors: sand, black, chocolate, green and wine. There are also two colors with a ribbed corduroy material on the top: bone (off-white) and blue (a pretty periwinkle).

Along with the fact that these clogs are best sellers, they also have over 400 ratings and reviews and 4 stars. One shopper called these shoes “very comfortable and affordable” and said they were true to size and were a “great fit.”

“I ran errands all day in them,” they continued. “I liked them so much I ordered two more but I sized up for when it gets cold to wear with socks. These clogs are similar to the ones that cost five times the price you can’t beat the price.”

And that shopper is not the only one to buy multiple pairs.

“I bought 3 pairs,” one reviewer wrote, saying that they’re also a big fan of Time and Tru. “Size is consistent, quality is always there and an assortment of colors. This is my favorite brand for all the clothes shoes and accessories.”

Boston Soft Footbed, Suede Leather, $160 at Birkenstock or Dick’s Sporting Goods

As we mentioned before, these Walmart clogs are very similar to Birkenstock’s classic Boston Soft Footbed, Suede Leather clogs, which are currently $160 at Birkenstock stores and Dick’s Sporting Goods. They share the same design: a cork-style footbed, a suede upper portion and a buckle. Even though these have the classic “cork” footbed, they’re made with EVA just like Walmart’s. The main difference is that this one has real suede on top, of course, and the strap is adjustable.

So, basically, if you like the idea of Birkenstock clogs but don’t want to shell out $160, Walmart’s Time and Tru Women’s Buckle Clogs are worth checking out.
