Washington really knows how to do holiday lights, and if there’s one attraction alone that proves it, it’s the annual Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park in Pierce County.

With thousands of sparkling lights and 300 illuminated displays, the epic drive-through has everything you need to feel immersed in a magical winter wonderland.

In addition to its elaborate Christmas displays, visitors are encouraged to tune into AM 1700 on their car radios to enjoy a selection of holiday music alongside their drive.

Experience on foot

Prefer to walk through the enchanting displays? Fantasy Lights will open to pedestrians for one weekend only on Saturday, November 23rd and Sunday, November 24th (4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm), according to Pierce County Parks.

Organizers recommend seeing Fantasy Lights on Mondays through Wednesdays to avoid the crowds, especially during the weeks leading up to Christmas.

The family-friendly event opens on Friday, November 29th, operating daily from 5:30 PM and 9 PM until January 5th.

Tickets are sold online, in person at Sprinker Recreation Center, and also on-site at Spanaway Park during the event. Keep in mind, that if you decide to purchase your ticket at Spanaway Park during the event, no cash will be accepted.

Tickets are on sale and range in price from $15 to $45 depending on the size of your vehicle.
