We’re less than a week away from Shark Tank‘s Season 17 debut. And, in an exclusive first look at the new season of the ABC entrepreneurial series, it seems like these small business are moving earth, water and fire to get the sharks to buy in.

“Seventeen years ago, Shark Tank started a revolution of ideas,” the narrator opens the video with. After being treated to a montage of a variety of pitches, including the ability to turn on a light from afar with just a finger, and a mechanism that lowers entire structures underground to avoid wildfire damage.

“The life-changing series returns for a new era,” the narration continues. Clearly this is in reference to the departure of Mark Cuban, who left the reality show after last season to spend more time with his family. But, in his stead, the show has brought on a myriad of notables from the world of business and entertainment to fill his shoes alongside Kevin O’Leary, Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner and Daniel Lubetzky. And we start off with a big one: Chip and Joanna Gaines.

“You’re Mr. Wonderful,” Magnolia co-founder Chip quips to Kevin O’Leary. “[She’s] Miss Perfect. She’s definitely got her own money.”

But the home and lifestyle power couple is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the guest sharks this season. Alongside them are:

  • Allison Ellsworth, founder and chief brand officer of poppi, the popular prebiotic soda;
  • Alexis Ohanian, venture capitalist and founder of Seven Seven Six; co-founder of Reddit, and husband of tennis great Serena Williams.
  • Kendra Scott, fashion designer and owner and founder of Kendra Scott, LLC.
  • Michael Strahan, Pro Football Hall of Famer and co-anchor of GMA.
  • Fawn Weaver, founder and CEO of Uncle Nearest Inc.
  • Rashaun Williams, venture capitalist and Atlanta Falcons limited partner

That doesn’t mean that the sharks of old are to be overshadowed, however! One particular juicy scene shows Pete Davidson and his partner on business, “Double Soul Socks,” pitching to the panel. In the traditional fracas, Mr. Wonderful turns to another shark, oinking at them, seemingly implying their greed.

“It’s very old school in here,” comedian Davidson quips to the camera in an interview. “Kevin O’Leary called someone a pig.”

We’ll certainly be happy as a pig in mud when Shark Tank returns for Season 17 on a new night, Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. For now, though, check out the superteaser above for a first look at what to expect this season.
