Big Brother 27, in general, might be one of the most volatile in recent memory. As we approach the halfway point of the season, no concrete alliances seem to have formed. Nearly every week so far has been marked with the Head of Household making a move against one of their allies, or one of the nominees committing an all-time Big Brother blunder. And, over the past two weeks, some of the people best-positioned to win the game were suddenly taken out.

Nowhere is that unpredictability more on display than the dynamic of Rachel Reilly and Keanu Soto. From the very beginning, the personal trainer never trusted the former winner, erroneously believing she was lying to him about everything. In the weeks since, they’ve had a number of spats, acting like worst enemies. But baked in there were some surprising moments of humanity, like when Keanu comforted Rachel after losing her closest ally, Jimmy Heagerty.

Despite getting along, up to this point, Keanu and Rachel have yet to get on the same page strategically. But, in an exclusive sneak peek of tonight’s Big Brother 27, that has once again changed. After going to war after accusations over peeing on the floor, the unlikely duo has officially become each other’s number ones.

In the clip above, Keanu has a sit-down with Rachel, who won the much-needed title of Head of Household this week. The Dungeon Master gives the lay of the land, saying, “We’re already established we’re not always gonna see eye to eye, and that’s okay. But full disclosure, we can run the rest of this game. I’m telling you.”

Keanu continues in the Diary Room, making a very apt metaphor for his dynamic with the three-time player. “Rachel and I have had a roller coaster of a relationship. We’re like those siblings that used to bicker when we were teenagers, but now we’re grown, and we’ve come out the other side stronger than ever. I have a unique opportunity to learn from one of the best people to ever play the game. I’d be dumb not to take.”

Indeed, as much as we’ve seen Keanu be able to train Rachel in fitness so far (though that has become yet another topic they disagree on), she has also schooled him in the ways of Big Brother. We’re treated to a montage of lessons, such as “If you assume somethingi n the house, you have to believe it to be true” and “You can’t throw competitions, period” (the latter of which Keanu nearly broke when he was on the block last week).

Given their up-and-down dynamic, Keanu suggests that they call their newfound Final 2 the “Frenemies.” He subsequently promises her that he would never betray her. Rachel admits that he’s a straight-shooter and gets a good vibe, so she agrees to the deal. And, while placating on the surface, there’s no way she’s going all in on the Frenemies.

“I want to work with Keanu for now. He’s a shield and a weapon for me,” she reveals in the Diary Room. “But I would be dumb to bring Keanu to the Final 2, because he would beat me because he’s a comp beast. But look, if he wants to bring me to Final 2, great! What am I gonna say? ‘No, set it on fire’?”

Things look like they’re on the upswing for the season’s most unlikely power couple. That is, unless anything should go awry during tonightCheck out the sneak peek above, and be sure to watch a special 90-minute episode of Big Brother 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT tonight on CBS.
