S.W.A.T. star Shemar Moore stopped by The Talk today to promote the upcoming Season 8 premiere of the police drama on Friday, Oct. 18, but being the proud papa that he is, he couldn’t resist bringing along a video of his real-life “baby girl” Frankie.

When Jerry O’Connell said, “She must have you wrapped around her little finger,” Moore agreed, saying, “It doesn’t make any sense. She plays me…I come home from work, and she says ‘Daddy, DaDa,’ I pick her up and say, ‘Can I have a hug?’ She gives me a hug. I say, ‘Can daddy have a kiss?’ She gives me a kiss, but she’s not really loving on me, she just wants me to throw her in the air, she goes, ‘jump, jump.’ She’s truly a little miracle. She’s 20 months old, she’s a little track star around the house. She likes football, I watch college, NFL and all of the sudden she’s like this [he makes as if to stare at a TV screen], and I’m like, ‘Hold on now, what you like those tight pants? What’s going on now?’ But I got her, I go ‘Frankie, football,’ and she goes, ‘Touchdown!'”

When S.W.A.T. returns, it’s with a mission with personal ties for Hondo (Moore) in which the team races to find a group of missing students and their bus driver, Hondo’s former high school football coach. Also, Hicks (Patrick St. Esprit) has reservations regarding Hondo’s new 20-Squad team addition, Devin Gamble (Annie Ilonzeh), a cop with a family background deeply entrenched in crime

“I really want to say thank you to the homies, to the fans, to the baby girls worldwide, without you guys, it was a close call. Two seasons in a row we got canceled. I made a little noise on social media and you all listened and you made a whole bunch of noise, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart, CBS heard you screaming and yelling on social media and you are a large reason, we’re back.”

“Season 8 is coming strong, you hear that theme song, you know what time it is,” Moore says. “We’re coming with action. You see my old ass running around. When they yell cut, I’m in the trailer with a masseuse, a Theragun, some Advil.”

S.W.A.T. premieres Friday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
