Summer tubing is reopening for the season at Canyon Ski Resort, and we absolutely can’t wait to take a ride.
Western Canada’s longest summer tube slide is hidden in Red Deer at Canyon Ski Resort. With two tubing lanes spanning across 453 feet, this summer slide is an activity that everyone in the family can enjoy. If you’re over the age of four, which I’m sure you are, you’ll be able to hop on a tube and get sliding this summer.
The best thing about this slide? It’s not too far from Edmonton. This is the perfect opportunity to get out of the city and get into some shenanigans with friends. So, don’t hesitate to book your ticket, trust me when I say you won’t regret it.
When does it open?
If you’re already looking to get outside this season, there isn’t going to be much of a wait. Summer tubing at Canyon Ski Resort opens on Saturday, June 13.
This tubing experience is located on the same hill as its winter tubing. These two lanes are on Neveplast, which was made in Italy, created and patented in 1998. It’s the first synthetic material certified with the same slipperiness as real snow, allowing you to get all the fun you need in the summer season.
Not to mention, there’s no long walk up the hill. Instead, there’s a “magic carpet”, which will glide you all the way up so you can go back down on the tube. Isn’t that just great?
Tickets start at $5 per ride, but you can purchase shareable ticket packages if you’re looking to get a bigger dose of fun. There are five run passes, 10, and 25 available.
Wanting to explore more of its Adventure Park? No problem, they actually have a pass specifically so you can take in everything they offer. Its Adventure Pass is $115, and it includes the canyon coaster, zipline, aerial course, net park, and the summer tube slide. There truly isn’t a better offer than that.
Are you ready to hop on a tube and get going? I sure am. So, keep this in mind when you’re making summer plans with the group chat. Your friends will definitely thank you for this addition to your agenda.
