The summer weather is perfect this time of year, especially for those movie-lovers looking to get outdoors.

We’ve compiled a list of the best events in and around Edmonton for outdoor movies this summer. These showings are free for all, and most importantly, family-friendly. Don’t miss your chance to go outside and enjoy the good weather, take a drive and park in front of the big screen.

In the city

Movie at Mayfield

At the RioCan Mayfield, guests are invited to watch a movie on the big screen and enjoy pre-show entertainment like airbrush tattoos, balloon artists, and a memory-commemorating photobooth.

This outdoor event is drive-in style, so don’t forget to bring fold-out chairs for sitting up front or blankets for your car beds to watch the movie in comfort. The movie being featured will be The Wild Robot, described as “a heartwarming tale of survival and discovery.”
