After a long night of trick or treating, the next logical step for many costumed children is to take stock of their score. Some kids like to organize by chocolate, candy or carb (i.e. mini bags of chips), while others organize their favourites into different piles. For those with siblings, tense rounds of trading begin, while the value of Oh Henrys versus Reese Peanut Butter Cups is debated.

Of course, this doesn’t just apply to the elementary school set: everyone has a favourite Halloween treat. But which is the most popular? We’re pitting our favourites against one another in a winner-takes-all bracket. Vote below and come back on Monday to see which candies made it to the next round.

And yes, there’s a good chance we didn’t include your personal fave. Leave a comment below or send us an email at audience@globeandmail.com to make your case as to why that missing candy is the best.
