This Alberta park will be filled with thousands of twinkling lights this season

14 November 20232 Mins Read

Need to escape that big city hustle and bustle? A magical adventure awaits those willing to take a drive!

Located just outside of Edmonton, you’ll find the charming Alberta city of Spruce Grove, which is once again gearing up for its highly anticipated ‘Light Up’ festival – a cozy affair with fun, food and festive cheer.

Held in celebration of the winter months, Light Up is bright, bold and beloved by almost everyone local to the area.

This year, enjoy a day of hot chocolate, cookie decorating, firepits, games, an artisan market and live music – then after the sun goes down, gather for the Main event at Central Park.

With over 50,000 LEDs in the past, Light Up invites the public to come and countdown to a dazzling flick of the switch, then a scenic walk through twinkling blues, reds and greens.

What’s more, is that guests will also be encouraged to hit their skating rink for a whip around the ice.

Interested? It’s totally FREE to attend, but we’d recommend bringing an unwrapped gift for their 2023 Christmas Hamper campaign, ‘Stuff a Cruiser.’

If of course, you can’t make the kickoff, the lights will continue to glisten throughout the season.

Have fun out there and enjoy, Alberta. You’re going to adore it!

Light Up – Spruce Grove, Alberta
