Compared to previous seasonal skins, like Solid Snake, Geralt of Rivia, and Wolverine, Godzilla’s intimidating frame doesn’t quite transpose to a vaguely humanoid frame. But the character’s signature chonkiness (Fortnite’s Godzilla is based on the Godzilla x Kong iteration) will show up at some point both as a skin and on the map in Chapter 6 Season 1.

Here’s what we know about Godzilla’s arrival in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1.

When is Godzilla coming to Fortnite?

Godzilla will be added to Fortnite, both as part of battle royale matches and as a skin, on Friday, Feb. 17 at the following release times:

Until then, as part of an update on Jan. 14, Godzilla’s arrival is being teased with a series of Godzilla Quests, pointing players to a number of themed updates across the map — including footprints, Monarch secrets in the likes of new location Kappa Kappa Factory, and the destruction of the suspension bridge to the east of the map — which is now named Shattered Span.

Then, on Friday at the above times, Godzilla is set appear on the map as part of a “transformation mythic”, allowing players to become Godzilla and use various abilities, according to a leak by HYPEX on X.

This is also when the Godzilla skin and associated cosmetics will be unlocked for battle pass holders, alongside a new set of Godzilla Quests to complete.
