Who Is Nikki Glaser's Boyfriend, Chris Convy?

Nikki Glaser is a woman in love. “I’m more in love than ever,” the comedian and Golden Globes host told Bill Maher on a September 2024 episode of his “Club Random” podcast. 

The man who stole her heart is producer Chris Convy, her on-and-off boyfriend of more than a decade.

“I had a breakthrough recently with him where we were kind of maybe gonna go our separate ways, and then I just stopped,” Glaser told Maher. “…[It]t’s so basic, but I just realized, like, no one I’m fantasizing about maybe replacing him with—[it’s] not even a real person I’m thinking of—no one’s gonna be perfect … and we’ve just been so good ever since.”

What does Nikki Glaser’s boyfriend, Chris Convy, do for a living?

Chris Convy is a producer who’s worked on awards shows such as the MTV Video Music Awards and Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, and on TV specials such as The Little Mermaid Live! and Adam Sandler: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. 

He also produced Glaser’s 2016 reality show Not Safe With Nikki Glaser and her 2024 standup special Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die.

How did Nikki Glaser and boyfriend Chris Convy meet?

They came into each other’s lives in 2013, via Glaser’s MTV show Nikki & Sara Live. 

“It was my first TV show and he was a producer on the show and he was from St. Louis, where I was from,” Glaser said in a 2022 interview on In Depth With Graham Bensinger. “I just quit drinking, like, a year before that and I didn’t want to have any relationships with people who were heavy drinkers.”

How long has Nikki Glaser been with her boyfriend, Chris Convy?

They’ve been together on-and-off for more than 10 years, with breakups lasting from a couple of days to around three years. 

These days, they’re in couple’s therapy, which they started going to in 2022 for Glaser’s reality show Welcome Home Nikki Glaser?—but then the effort turned serious. 

“[We] now go every week with the same therapist,” Glaser told Maher. “…I recommend it so much,” she added. “…No matter what, we always leave so in love with each other, even if [our problems are] not resolved. Because we just said the truth and we both somehow are able to see each other’s sides of things.”

Is Nikki Glaser’s boyfriend a comedian?

No. He’s a producer. But he apparently has a good sense of humor as well as a knack for working with comedians. In addition to collaborating with Glaser, he’s produced two Mark Twain specials—one for Adam Sandler and another for Dave Chapelle. 

Do Nikki Glaser and her boyfriend work together?

They do. Speaking with Bill Maher, Glaser said that Convy has become her “creative partner.”

“He’s funny, he handles all the stuff I don’t want to handle,” she added. 

In a New York Times feature that ran ahead of her 2025 Golden Globes hosting gig, Convy appeared in the story as her trusted adviser. (At one point, the couple fought over whether more people would get a reference to “Call Her Daddy” or Jesse Eisenberg.)

Is Nikki Glaser married?

Although she’s in a longterm relationship, Glaser is not married, and she seems skeptical of the institution. 

“I think the off-and-on is [because] I’m just terrified of committing to anything forever,” Glaser said during a May 2024 appearance on the Howard Stern Show. “I think committing to something forever makes me think of no other adventures. It’s just, kind of, admitting defeat. It’s settling.”

She echoed that sentiment in her September 2024 interview with Bill Maher.

“It’s crazy that we’re supposed to be with someone forever … give me a break,” she said. “…And [Chris] knows it’s insane too. And so we’re just trying to be partners and figure it out.”

Still, when Maher said that he could tell that Glaser and Convy would be together “forever,” she seemed to agree.

Does Nikki Glaser have kids?

No. Of her decision to not have kids, Glaser told the TODAY show,”You see your friends wanting it so badly—genuinely wanting it—and you feel like, ‘What’s wrong with me that I don’t want it?’ You kind of feel left out. And that’s what I’m struggling with more than just, ‘Well, should I do it?’ Because I’m kind of sure I don’t want it. But I’m like, ‘Why don’t I want this thing that everyone seems to want?'”
