When the Jonas Brothers announced their split in 2013, they were in the middle of their ninth tour and flush with more cash than most people will see in a lifetime. But dazzling net worths aside, they were creatively stifled. “I was feeling kind of trapped,” Nick, the youngest Jonas brother, said at the time. (He was the one who initiated the breakup, but Kevin and Joe weren’t happy with the direction of the band either, and none of them were getting along.) For the next six years, the brothers focused on building solo careers: Kevin became an entrepreneur; Joe formed the band DNCE; and Nick put out one-man hits while racking up post-Disney acting credits. For the first time since the release of their debut album in 2006, the brothers were working — and earning — completely independently of one another.
Cut to 2019 and, much to the delight of millennials the world over, the Jonas Brothers got back together. But because Kevin, Joe and Nick each enjoyed different degrees of success and profitability during their time apart — and surely had different investment and spending habits along the way, too — their net worths are vastly different from one person to the next.
So, who is the richest Jonas brother? To mark the release of their third studio album since the reunion and seventh since they burst onto the scene 20 years ago (Greetings From Your Hometown), here’s a ranking of the Jonas Brothers by net worth.

Kevin Jonas’ Net Worth: $40 Million
Kevin may be the oldest Jonas brother — he was 17 when he and his little brothers took the music scene by storm — but he’s not the richest. In fact, a few years after the band broke up, he lost “almost all” of his money in a bad business deal, he revealed on theSchool of Greatness podcast with host Lewis Howes. “I’ve seen the beginning of the success to financial success — not knowing what money really was and understanding it — to not having [it], to losing almost all of it,” he said.
Thanks to the brothers’ lucrative second act, which has included multiple tours, Kevin is once again a multi-millionaire with a net worth of $40 million.
“It actually was kind of fortuitous in a way,” he said of almost going broke. “Like, I learned this lesson — never wanted to learn it, but I did — but then at the same time reevaluated how to approach life from that perspective and looking to the future.”
What did Kevin Jonas do when the Jonas Brothers broke up?
Unlike his brothers, Kevin didn’t continue to make music, at least not professionally or publicly, after the band called it quits. Instead, he focused on building a family with wife Danielle — they welcomed daughters Alena Rose and Valentina Angelina, in February 2014 and October 2016, respectively — and pursued entrepreneurial endeavors, including tech ventures like the restaurant-finding app Yood!, which he helped create, and the influencer marketing company the Blu Market, for which he acted as co-CEO.
“After the Jonas Brothers, I was like, What is next?” Kevin told Fast Companyin 2017. “I always had a passion for [tech]. They even called me KT&T for a while. I am not an expert, but I’m a fast learner: Surround yourself with people who will make you better, and learn to listen.”
“It was humbling to see my brothers blowing up in music while I wasn’t in the public eye,” he continued. “But it was also gratifying, because I’m doing what I love, and the self-esteem you get from that is so much better. When you can take away the ego, you learn a lot about yourself and the world around you.”
Did Kevin Jonas become a realtor?
No, but the confusion is understandable. In addition to becoming a tech entrepreneur, Kevin tried his hand at being a home builder, launching the company JonasWerner, which specialized in constructing custom mansions within commuting distance from Manhattan. (One of his $2.48 million estates was touted in Domino magazine as being “as over-the-top as you can get.”) Unfortunately, one of his property-related partnerships went sideways about nine years ago and he lost almost all of his money in the process.
How did Kevin Jonas make money after the Jonas Brothers broke up?
After the JoBros split, Kevin worked as an entrepreneur and home builder, and also cut sponsorship deals that presumably earned him a pretty penny. “How has creativity helped me continue to be a successful entrepreneur since my time in the band?” he asked in a 2017 campaign for Adobe. “I teamed up with @AdobeStudents to share my story.”
How did Kevin Jonas lose his money?
Jonas shared on the School of Greatness podcast that nine years ago he lost most of his money in an ill-advised business deal. “Invested in a bunch of property and doing other things and I was building at the time, and sadly it just wasn’t the right partnership, if you know what I’m saying,” he revealed. “Can’t really get too much into it.”
Which Jonas Brother was on Celebrity Apprentice?
That would be Kevin, who appeared on the seventh season of the show in 2014. Alas, he was fired in the second episode after finding himself on the chopping block alongside Ian Ziering and Geraldo Rivera.
Did Kevin Jonas do a reality show after the band broke up?
Kevin and his wife Danielle were the stars of the E! reality series Married to Jonas, which ran for two seasons and overlapped a bit with the dissolution of the band, although the breakup wasn’t actually featured on the show because it had already been shot.
“I’m surprised when I see it,” Kevin told E! News in 2023. “We were children. We were babies. We got married so young.” (They tied the knot in December 2009, when he was 22 and she was 23.) “But it was great. We’re still together, which is great. We did something right. The show was awesome. Who knows? Maybe one day we’ll have to make a reprise.”
On the current reality-TV front, Kevin co-hosts Claim to Fame with his youngest brother, the so-called “Bonus Jonas,” Frankie.

Joe Jonas’ Net Worth: $50 Million
After the Jonas Brothers disbanded, Joe “took a few years off” to figure out his next step. He opened a restaurant, appeared in Zoolander 2, deejayed. But nothing quite clicked. Then his longtime manager, Phil McIntyre, gave it to him straight. “During [one] meeting, Phil was pretty real with me — [he staged] a mini intervention,” Joe told Fast Company. “He said, ‘You should be doing what you do best, and that’s music.’”
In 2015, he formed the funk-pop band DNCE with drummer Jack Lawless, guitarist JinJoo Lee and bassist/keyboardist Cole Whittle, who exited the group in 2018. With Joe as the lead, DNCE’s first single, “Cake By the Ocean,” was a surprise hit, peaking at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“I think I got in the studio and I tried to just write music that was me as a person — which is just wild, funny, crazy, quirky, and a little weird — and the world seems to like it,” he told Billboard. “And that just encourages you more. Like, if I can write a song called ‘Cake by the Ocean’ that literally means almost nothing, and people are into it, I can literally write about anything I want.”
How many DNCE albums are there?
The band released its debut EP, Swaay, in October 2015 and followed that up with a self-titled album in the fall of 2016. Their third EP, People to People, came out in June 2018 and their fourth, Music for People Who Believe in DNCE — a spinoff of Joe’s second solo album, Music for People Who Believe in Love — dropped in 2024.
Is Joe Jonas still in DNCE?
The band does still exist — and Joe is still its lead — but it’s taken a backseat to the Jonas Brothers. After a four-year hiatus from 2018 to 2022, they released three singles, including a song called “Dancing Feet,” but Whittle did not return to the band.
”While I was in the Jonas Brothers again, I put a pause on all things DNCE, with the support of my fellow bandmates,” Joe said. “So it became this thing where we all went and did our own thing and started to look at what else we wanted to do … I can kind of foresee it becoming this E Street Band where members come and go.”
Does Joe Jonas have a solo album?
Joe released his first solo album, Fast Life, in 2011, while he was a member of the Jonas Brothers the first time around. But the album, which peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200, was not considered a commercial success.
He dropped his second solo album, Music for People Who Believe in Love, more than a 10 years later, in 2024, and it fared much better, landing him on Billboard’s top 10 for the first time as a solo artist.
Did Joe Jonas have a prenup?
Joe was married to Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, with whom he shares two daughters, from 2019 to 2024. They reportedly had an ironclad prenup in place, which made certain aspects of their divorce clean-cut.

Who is richer, Joe or Sophie?

Nick Jonas’ Net Worth: $80 Million
Nick, who stepped out onto the world stage at the ripe old age of 12, is the richest Jonas brother by a long shot. His financial superiority makes sense if you take into account his chart-topping solo career, his many roles in film and TV and his lucrative business endeavors, including his tequila company Villa One with John Varvatos, which he formed in 2019, and his investments in popular brands like Magic Spoon. But he also benefits from a joint net worth with wife Priyanka Chopra — a very wealthy actress and investor in her own right — whom he married in 2018.
Regardless of how much he has his wife to thank for his winning net worth, Nick’s decision to pull the plug on the Jonas Brothers when he did, amid lagging ticket sales and angry infighting, paid off.
Did Nick Jonas go solo?
Nick wasted no time going solo after splitting from his brothers, releasing his first post-JoBros album, Nick Jonas, in 2014. The album, which was a commercial success, included the hit single “Jealous.” (Fun fact, though: This wasn’t actually Nick’s first solo album. He released Nicholas Jonas in November 2004, before the Jonas Brothers formed, and it flopped.)
How many solo albums did Nick Jonas put out?
Including his 2004 album, Nick has put out four LPs as a solo artist. They are:
- Nicholas Jonas (2004)
- Nick Jonas (2014)
- Last Year Was Complicated (2015)
- Spaceman (2021)
Over the course of his solo career, Nick has had at least five songs reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including “Jealous,” “Chains,” “Close,” “Levels” and “Good Thing.”
What movies and TV shows has Nick Jonas been in?
With his Camp Rock days long behind him, Nick has appeared in a wide range of movies and TV shows, including Hawaii Five-0, Scream Queens, Kingdom and two Jumanji movies (Welcome to the Jungle and Next Level). He also returned to his theater roots (he was a stage actor as a kid) in the spring of 2025 for a production of The Last Five Years, which ran at the Hudson Theatre until June 22. (One role he Nick did not play, despite auditioning for it? That of Fiyero in the film adaptation of Wicked. The part went to Jonathan Bailey.)

How much has Nick Jonas made as an investor?
In addition to his work as a singer and actor, Nick is a savvy investor, placing smart bets on brands including Olipop, Perfect Moment, True Food Kitchen and Magic Spoon. Although it’s unclear how much, exactly, he’s made from those investments, Fortunepoints out that the youngest Jonas brother’s net worth grew by $30 million between 2021 and 2025, and at least a chunk of that was due to his investments.
“I look at operators,” Jonas told Fortune of how he considers a company for an investment. “I think that ideas are obviously an enormous part of what makes investing in something appealing or interesting, but most importantly, [it ’s] who the operators are.”
“If there’s not a great story there, or if it feels manufactured, then it’s harder for me to really lean in.”
Why is Nick Jonas so rich?
Nick is as rich as he is in part because he’s built his wealth through multiple revenue streams. He makes the bulk of his money these days as a member of the Jonas Brothers 2.0, but his massive net worth is also the result of his career as a solo artist and actor, as well as his shrewd investments in brands like Saucey, Snackpass and Innerchef (food); Perfect Moment (fashion); and tech (Ember and Mercury). He’s also combined his finances with Bollywood and Hollywood star Priyanka Chopra, which boosted his bank account to say the least.
