There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people’s trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.

What was Final Jeopardy today?
Final Jeopardy today was in the category “THE 20th CENTURY“
The clue: “Turning points in this event were the U.S. Navy boarding the Marucla & a cargo ship called the Kislovodsk altering its course.”
The answer: “What is the Cuban Missile Crisis?”
Ryan’s time as Jeopardy! Champ was short-lived, as Biermann ended DJ with a commanding runaway lead, with $30,000 to Ryan’s $8,600 and Sisk’s $7,400.
While all 3 contestants answered FJ correctly, Biermann took the lead, adding $2,000 to her final total of $32,000. Ryan wagered $6,201 for a second-place total of $14,801, while Sisk added $1,300 to his total for a third-place final of $8,700.
Biermann will be back on Wednesday for attempt number 2.
