Why is Grace Van Dien turning down acting jobs

‘Stranger Things’ star Grace Van Dien says she’s turned down acting roles after experiencing sexual harassment on a movie set.
The 26-year-old actress, best known for playing cheerleader Chrissy Cunningham on Netflix’s sci-fi drama, opened up about her decision to be more selective during this week’s Twitch livestream, saying, “I’ve been working on it. Some recent projects haven’t been the best experience with some of the people I’ve had to work with.”
Van Dien recounted a particular incident in which an unnamed film producer allegedly proposed her on set.
“In one of the last movies I did, one of the producers asked me to do… like, he hired a girl he slept with and then had a threesome with her.” I was asked to do a job,” said Van Dien. “So… it’s like, that’s my boss and I didn’t. I cried and was so upset.”
Van Dien said he’s focused on streaming for now because he can “choose who to play with and who to talk to.”
On Thursday, Van Dien tweeted that her professional priorities are changing.
