Toronto Maple Leafs star William Nylander, affectionately dubbed “Willy Styles,” just stepped into the fashion spotlight.
Living up to his nickname, the 28-year-old is front and centre in a new collaboration between Drake’s lifestyle brand, October’s Very Own (OVO), and the NHL, modelling pieces from the Winter ’24 “All-Canadian” line in a social media preview.
In a sneak peek shared on Thursday, Nylander could be seen modelling a range of looks, including a sleek blue “Toronto” hoodie, a vintage Leafs goalie tee, a balaclava, and a retro-inspired Starter pullover jacket.
Fans of OVO’s streetwear can look forward to new designs for every Canadian team, already previewed in the brand’s newsletter.
While the full hockey-inspired line officially drops tomorrow, this isn’t OVO’s first collaboration with Leafs players.
Last year, the brand launched its “Original Six” collection, featuring Tie and Max Domi in a campaign that paid homage to the NHL’s roots.
In 2022, longtime Leafs captain Doug Gilmour and former goaltender Curtis Joseph were used as models for an OVO line celebrating legends of the game.
As for Nylander, he’s not just turning heads off the ice — the Swede is delivering on it too.
Coming off a career-high 98-point campaign, Nylander has 13 goals and 22 points in his first 20 games this season.
He and the rest of the Leafs will be back in action this Saturday as Toronto searches for its fourth straight win with a game against the Utah Hockey Club.
