The Royal Canadian Circus is coming to Metro Vancouver in May 2025, and, if you enter our contest, you can win a pack of VIP tickets worth over $400!
In 2025 the circus is in Surrey on May 8th to 11th and in Richmond on May 15th to 19th.
The winner of the “Run Away to the Circus for a Day Contest” wins four (4) VIP Ringside seats for themselves and a group of their friends to their choice of the shows in either Surrey or Richmond in 2025. The prize package also includes a VIP backstage tour, being introduced as an honorary ringmaster, some circus goodies, and a photo opportunity with the Ringmaster! The contest ends at noon on Monday, April 21st (which is Easter Monday). See below for full details, especially the paragraph below highlighted in yellow.
To win the circus tickets you have to subscribe to our e-newsletter. If you don’t already subscribe, you need to do so by April 21st at noon in 2025. Click VBPs Newsletters to do that.
If you already subscribe to our e-newsletter, on the other hand, you just have to do one thing. Send us an e-mail at info@.com, and in the e-mail say you want to enter our contest. If you do that, we’ll add your name to the draw! It’s that easy. Note though, that if you e-mailed us last year, in 2024, asking to be entered into one of our e-newsletter contests, you don’t have to e-mail us again. If you e-mailed us last year asking to be entered into a contest, we will automatically enter you in this contest too.

The Royal Canadian International Circus is a family-friendly and entertaining show. It features acrobats, daredevils and other top-rate talent. We’ve seen a number of their shows in the past and have been very impressed! Kids love them!
The prize pack of four (4) VIP tickets in this contest is good for any of the shows in Surrey or Richmond in 2025. The circus is held in a giant Big Top-style tent at Surrey’s Guildford Town Centre from May 8th until May 11th (which includes the Mother’s Day Weekend). The circus also sets up at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond from May 15th until the 19th (which includes the May Long Weekend).

Royal Canadian Circus Giveaway Rules and Details
Vancouver’s Best Places is giving away one (1) package of four (4) VIP tickets to see the Royal Canadian International Circus in Metro Vancouver in May 2025. The prize includes four (4) VIP tickets for the show on the winners’ choice of dates. (Note: The actual date will depend on availability.)
To enter the giveaway contest you need to subscribe to our e-newsletter. If you are a new subscriber (between March 14th, 2025, and April 21, 2025 at noon), you will automatically be entered to win. If you already subscribe to our e-newsletter, however, you need to either reply to one of our e-newsletter e-mails, or send a new e-mail to info@.com, and in the e-mail simply ask us to enter you into the contest.
To qualify to win, you also need to agree to the contest’s rules, terms and conditions described further below. You also need to be a resident of British Columbia and at least 19 years of age. The giveaway contest starts on Friday, March 14th, at 12:01 am (PST), and it ends on Monday, April 1st, 2025, at 12:01 pm (so just 1 minute past noon). The winner will be contacted by email (from info@.com) on or before Wednesday, April 23rd. Entering the contest means you abide by all contest rules.
The four (4) VIP tickets are to see the Royal Canadian International Circus in Metro Vancouver in May 2025. Travel and other expenses are not included.
Anyone who signs up for Vancouver’s Best Places’ e-newsletter between March 14th (at 12:01 am) and April 21st (at 12:01 pm) is entered in the contest automatically. If you signed up before the contest, you are not automatically entered in the contest. However, if you are an existing subscriber and you send us an e-mail asking to be entered, we can enter you in the contest that way instead.

Official Contest Rules

Note: By participating in this contest, participants declare that they have read and understand the following giveaway contest rules and agree to accept all decisions by Vancouver’s Best Places with respect to this contest.
Entries must be received by contest closing time which is Monday, April 21st, 2025, at 12:01 pm (PST). Late submissions will not be accepted. There is no purchase necessary to enter.
A. Contest Prize
The winner will be awarded one pack of four (4) VIP tickets to the Royal Canadian International Circus in Metro Vancouver in May 2025. No purchase is necessary.
The shows take place on different dates at Guildford Town Centre in Surrey and Lansdowne Centre in Richmond.
The prize package has an approximate value of $400 (CAD). The winner will be contacted by Vancouver’s Best Places with instructions on how they can claim their prize. The winner must reply to the email informing them of their winning within 48 hours (or by the end of day after the day of notification) of the offer being sent or they will forfeit their prize and another recipient will be selected.
(NOTE: When we contact you, if your name is drawn, we will NOT ask you to click any links or provide any personal information. We will simply ask you to e-mail us at info@.com. Make sure it’s really us who is contacting you! If you aren’t sure, check the spelling of “.com” carefully in the e-mail you receive. We will not be contacting you via Facebook, Instagram or other social media.)
The prizes of tickets have no cash value and cannot be sold or redeemed for cash. The tickets are valid for shows in Surrey or Richmond between May 8th and May 19th in 2025. The winner must choose a date at the time the prize is awarded.
B. Contest Eligibility and the Contest Draw
To qualify for the prizes the selected winner must be a BC resident and over 19 years of age. If they are not they will be disqualified and another draw will take place to choose a new recipient of the prize. If a BC-based company or other organization wins, that organization can select the individual they want to claim their prize.
The winner will be selected via a random draw of eligible entry submissions by Vancouver’s Best Places. After being notified, the winner will have to answer a basic skill-testing question in order to receive their prize.
Employees, agents and representatives of Vancouver’s Best Places or the Royal Canadian International Circus and members of the immediate family of such persons (including spouses, parents, siblings and children) are not eligible to enter this contest.
C. Other Terms and Conditions
- No purchase is necessary to enter this contest.
- The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- Contest entries are accepted between 12:01 am (Pacific Standard Time) on Monday, March 14th, 2025, and 12:01 pm (PST) on Monday, April 21st, 2025. Entries received before and after these dates and times are automatically void.
- By entering this contest, all entrants accept and agree to abide by the contest rules, terms, regulations and decisions of Vancouver’s Best Places.
- By entering this contest, entrants agree to allow Vancouver’s Best Places and the Royal Canadian International Circus to publish their name if the entrant wins the contest. If a winning entrant requests that their name not be published, the entrant agrees that their name can at least be provided to any person or organization requesting to know the results of the contest (to ensure transparency of the process).
- In addition to having their entries randomly selected, in order to win the prize, the selected contestant must correctly answer a skill-testing question.
- There are no substitutions and the prize must be accepted as awarded.
- This giveaway contest is subject to the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
- Vancouver’s Best Places and the Royal Canadian International Circus reserve the right to modify or cancel this giveaway contest at any time for any reason without notice to participants unless prohibited by law. If ending the contest prior to the initial published contest end date, Vancouver’s Best Places reserves the right to award the prize from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation of the contest.
- If for any reason a winner cannot be found, including if Vancouver’s Best Places is unsuccessful in contacting the winner (or subsequent winners if the first one is unsuccessful) within four days of the closing date of the contest, the ticket package may be donated to a registered BC-based charity, non-profit organization or family in need. Vancouver’s Best Places will, however, do its best to find a winner.
- Regarding personal information, Vancouver’s Best Places will use a contestant’s personal information for the purposes of conducting this contest. This includes collection of entrants’ names and email details. Proof of age and province of residence may also be collected.
- Vancouver’s Best Places and the Royal Canadian International Circus are not responsible, for whatever reason, for lost, delayed or otherwise not received entries.
- Vancouver’s Best Places and the Royal Canadian International Circus are not responsible for errors in the administration or offer of this giveaway contest of any kind, including but not limited to mistakes in advertising, contest rules, winner selection or distribution of the prize. This includes but is not limited to technical problems, human error, employee illness, corrupted data, IT, social media, computer hardware or software problems.
