The Original Edmonton Witches Market brings the strange and occult to Edmonton, including a variety of handcrafted goods and psychic readings from local vendors.
The Witches Market has been in operation for 14 years and is held monthly in Edmonton.
“It was the first market in the city where the strange, the unusual, and the occult all came together,” said market owner AD Richardson.
She said that when people hear “Witch’s Market,” they think it’s goth, dark and evil, but that’s not the case at all. She said it’s really the people that make it a witch.
The typical 35 to 40 vendors at the market are artists and artisans of all kinds. Some make candles, while others sell home decorations and crystals, she said.
“From those who believe in karma and love yoga to those who are on the side of Pagans and Wiccans, there are many.”
