Dancing With the Stars pro Witney Carson McAllister posted a heartbreaking message to her Instagram stories on Wednesday, September 10, about her family members’ gut-wrenching loss.

Warning: The following content is distressing in nature and is related to miscarriage and pregnancy loss.

“My relatives just lost their sweet baby boy full term,” wrote Carson. “My heart is shattered for them.”

The professional dancer went on to say that the family is “now facing the unexpected cost of the funeral.”

“If you could pray for them and donate to help ease this financial burden as they experience an unbearable loss,” she added with a link to the GoFundMe and a link to the family’s original post about their baby boy.

In the post, grieving mom Taylor Southard wrote, “Broken. Shattered. Forever changed. Our boy, Westley Brent Southard. Pure perfection. Everything was perfect, you were just rolling in my tummy that morning, to find out your heart wasn’t beating that night.”

She continued, “We got to hold you, and admire you. You’re sleeping perfect little body. You look so much like your sister, a curved button nose, long fingers and toes. And so much dark thick hair. I’ll see you in her and daddy every day and I couldn’t be more thankful for that. Dad got to take a nap with you, his favorite thing. Born 9/9/25 a Tuesday just like your sister, September just like your mom, 9th like dad. I’m broken beyond words and this pain is deeper than anything I’ve ever felt.”

The GoFundMe was organized by Kenzie Carson. In the donation list, Witney’s current Dancing With the Stars partner Robert Irwin, his mom Terri Irwin and his sister Bindi Irwin each donated $500 to help the Carson-Southard family in their time of unimaginable grief.

As of this writing, the fund has raised $8500 of its $13,000 goal.
