WMLBK electric shower head heater recalled due to shock and electrocution hazard

Health Canada has announced a recall of the WMLBK 110V 5400W Automatic Electric Instantaneous Showerhead Heater due to the risk of electric shock and electrocution.
The recall is for WMLBK electric showerhead heaters, specifically model TP01271-CA-XQ, according to a notice issued Wednesday.
Heaters have electrical wiring and the heating element is placed near running water, without proper protection, creating a risk of electric shock or electrocution.
Health officials say the recalled product is sold on Amazon.ca (ASIN B0B5D8ZT99) and is a shower head that heats water without hot water.
A total of 16 heaters made in China were sold in Canada between July 2022 and October 2022, according to Health Canada.
There have been no reports of accidents or injuries caused by recalled products in Japan.
Health Canada is urging Canadians to stop using the recalled products “immediately” and contact Amazon.ca for instructions.
