Wyndham recently shared a series of new initiatives at its 2025 Global Conference in Las Vegas. The company aims to redefine hotel ownership through technological advancements, sourcing, loyalty, and marketing.
The initiatives revolve around enhancing guest engagement through innovative technology, streamlining sourcing solutions, enriching the hotel rewards program, and launching a new marketing campaign. These strategies are expected to benefit hotel owners by reducing costs, unlocking operational efficiencies, and growing their bottom line.
One of the key technology advancements introduced was Wyndham Connect PLUS. This AI-powered solution aims to enhance Wyndham’s existing guest engagement platform by automating text messaging and voice assistance. It allows guests to book stays, ask questions, and access tailored recommendations. Combined with the new Wyndham Gateway, a consistent Wi-Fi portal, this platform aims to provide a seamless guest experience and unlock new revenue streams for hotels.
In terms of sourcing solutions, Wyndham is investing in Wyndham Marketplace, a hotel shopping platform that simplifies the process of finding, comparing, and purchasing brand-approved products at negotiated rates. Wyndham is also partnering with HUB International, a global insurance brokerage firm, to provide owners with affordable, high-quality insurance solutions.
The hotel franchisor is also looking to enrich its Wyndham Rewards program. This includes the launch of Wyndham Rewards Experiences, where members can use their points to bid on premier live events and experiences. Furthermore, an industry-first partnership with Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar will allow members to earn points for mobile orders delivered to a Hotel by Wyndham.
The company is also set to launch a new marketing campaign titled “Where There’s a Wyndham, There’s a Way.” This campaign aims to unify Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Wyndham Rewards under one brand identity, helping to capture more demand at lower costs for franchisees.
These initiatives are part of Wyndham’s long-term strategy, known as Wyndham Advantage. This approach aims to support hotel owners, leading to nearly 96% franchisee retention and a record development pipeline. Since going public in 2018, the company has invested nearly $350 million in technology, sales, and marketing innovations while expanding support for hotels.
