Wyndham Hotels & Resorts opened its 100th Days Inn hotel in China, Shantou Jinping.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts recently celebrated the opening of the Days Inn by Wyndham Shantou Jinping, marking the 100th Days Inn property in China. This new hotel, featuring 83 rooms, is situated in the Jinping District of Shantou, a region known for its rich cultural heritage and economic significance.

The Days Inn by Wyndham Shantou Jinping is part of Wyndham’s broader strategy to expand its presence in key markets, leveraging the growing tourism sector in China. The hotel offers amenities such as a fitness center, breakfast buffet, free WiFi, and a business center, catering to business and leisure travelers.

Over the past five years, the Days Inn brand has experienced significant growth in China, averaging double-digit net room growth annually. This expansion has contributed to a 14% increase in Wyndham’s overall direct franchising business in the region over the same period. The company’s direct franchise business growth has notably doubled FeePAR since 2018.

Wyndham’s strategic growth in China is supported by the Wyndham Advantage, which includes nearly $350 million in technology investments over the past seven years. These investments provide franchise owners with advanced property management systems and access to a global network of over 115 million enrolled Wyndham Rewards members.

The expansion of Days Inn in China includes other locations such as Beijing, Chengdu, and Harbin, each strategically positioned to leverage local attractions and business hubs. For instance, the Days Inn by Wyndham Beijing Haidian is located in the city’s tech hub, close to major cultural landmarks, while the Days Inn by Wyndham Chengdu Wenjiang is situated in a scenic district known as “Chengdu’s Backyard Garden.”

This milestone is part of Wyndham’s commitment to becoming a dominant player in China’s hospitality market, which is expected to become the world’s largest travel and tourism market within the next decade.
