Fans of Yellowjackets can let out the breath they’ve been holding since the third season ended over a month ago, as Showtime has finally revealed the fate of the “cultural juggernaut.”

On Tuesday, May 20, the network confirmed that the series “will return” for Season Four. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on the timeline for new episodes, but viewers are certainly relieved to have something to look forward to—even if the weeks in between the last episode and the announcement felt like forever.

“TOOK UR DAMN TIME OMG,” one person vented in response, while another emphatically replied, “FINALLY THANK GOD.”

“I AM ALREADY SEATED,” someone else promised.

Fans had taken to drastic measures over the last several weeks as they waiting for news, from dramatically blocking celebrities over the lack of renewal to “swearing” to commit vaguely threatening actions as a result of their “genuine worry.”

“I am the great sufferer,” someone else lamented amid the silence.

With many having prepared themselves for potential cancelation, fans crashed out across social media with the confirmation that the show was safe for another season.

Plus, the news came immediately followingElle Fanning’s casting as Effie Trinket in the upcoming Hunger Games follow-up film, which also took the internet by storm. With the two massive back-to-back announcements, some fans say they “went crazy,” with “life really [feeling like it’s now] worth living.”
