1 Hotels has opened its first location in continental Europe with the launch of 1 Hotel Copenhagen, located at Krystalgade 22.
1 Hotels has officially opened 1 Hotel Copenhagen, marking the brand’s first hotel in continental Europe. The hotel is situated at Krystalgade 22, providing access to several of Copenhagen’s notable attractions, including Tivoli Gardens and Rosenborg Castle.
The property, previously known as Skt. Petri has undergone a transformation to align with 1 Hotels’ emphasis on sustainable design. The hotel features 252 rooms and 30 suites, incorporating natural materials and biophilic design elements. Interiors are furnished with Danish craftsmanship, and the hotel includes living landscapes and organic textures throughout its spaces.
Chef Chantelle Nicholson oversees the hotel’s food and beverage offerings. The dining venues focus on using regional ingredients and sustainable practices. The signature restaurant, Fjora, utilizes local produce, while the bar, PÆRE, offers cocktails made with foraged botanicals.
1 Hotel Copenhagen also provides a range of guest experiences and amenities. The Field House Gym is available 24/7, and a Bamford Wellness Spa is planned to open in 2026. The hotel offers a range of programs, including yoga and meditation sessions, and features art installations by local artists.
Sustainability initiatives are integrated into the hotel’s operations, including energy-efficient systems and the use of surplus materials for construction. The hotel collaborates with local organizations like ByBi, focusing on urban beekeeping and biodiversity.
1 Hotel Copenhagen aims to minimize its ecological footprint and engage with the local community through volunteer work and partnerships. The hotel supports local charities and encourages guests to participate in sustainability efforts during their stay.
