It’s officially starting to feel like spring in Calgary. The grass is getting greener, the trees are budding, and the city is slowly coming back to life. With that comes a full lineup of things happening around the city this week, giving you plenty of reasons to get out and explore.

We’ve rounded up 10 of the best things to do in Calgary this week so you don’t have to spend time searching for plans.

Calgary is getting a little more musical this week as JazzYYC’s International Jazz Days Festival kicks off on April 27.

The festival brings together standout jazz musicians from around the world for live performances at some of the city’s best venues.

If comedy is more your speed, Mae Martin is bringing its interactive live show to Calgary for one night only.

Known for its sharp humour, storytelling, and hit Netflix specials, it’s the kind of show that makes for a solid night out.

When: Monday, April 27, 2026

Where: Bella Concert Hall – 4825 Mt. Royal Gate SW, Calgary, Alta.

If your spring plans need an upgrade, Calgary’s International Beerfest is back next weekend, and it’s easily one of the most fun events to have on your calendar. The festival brings together hundreds of Canadian-made beverages, from craft beers and spirits to meads and ready-to-drink favourites.

If you’re planning to go, the Beerfest package is definitely the move; it includes entry, $40 in sample tokens, and after-party access.

Sina Bathaie’s Calgary concert is a great pick for anyone wanting a music night that feels a little less typical. His sound blends traditional Persian melodies with modern electronic production, making for a live performance that stands out from the usual concert lineup.

Celebrate International Dance Day with a special screening of Singin’ in the Rain at The Grand.

Between the Hollywood energy, unforgettable dance numbers, and themed cocktails, it’s a pretty solid midweek plan.

Circo Fest is bringing aerial arts, dance, acrobatics, and circus performance to the city. The festival features everything from aerial silks and lyra to trapeze and dance performances.

If your usual plans are starting to feel a little boring, Alberta Notre-Dame de Paris is the kind of night that completely switches things up.
