The end of August is approaching, but the fun is only ramping up! From BTS and Ed Sheeran to the start of the CNE and massive cultural festivals, these are the best things to do in Toronto this weekend.
African Fashion Week Toronto
Get sartorially inspired at African Fashion Week Toronto, running from Thursday to Sunday! The event will feature DJs, multiple fashion showcases, activations of designers, artisans and food vendors and a massive runway.
CNE
The best and biggest way to end off the summer is here! The CNE is back, beginning this Friday with some opening day fun that includes a performance at the Bandshell by Lupe Fiasco. Ride the midway rides, taste delicious (and sometimes strange) food combinations and win a prize!
Simple Plan at RBC Amphitheatre
Canadian rock band Simple Plan are coming back home! They’ll be bringing the Bigger Than You Think — The Sequel tour to Toronto on Thursday for one spectacular show. They’ll be joined by Bowling for Soup and 3OH!3 and special Canadian co-headliners specifically for Toronto, Marianas Trench.
Thank you to this week’s sponsor, Queen Street West BIA!
Queen West Live

Beginning this Friday and running until Aug. 30, Queen West Live is taking over Queen Street West from Bathurst Street to University Avenue! Support live music and enjoy shows at iconic venues like Horseshoe Tavern and The Rivoli, unexpected spaces including outdoor courtyards and secret pop-ups along Queen Street West. All shows are free or donation-based.
Toronto Korean Festival
Immerse yourself in Korean culture for three days this weekend at Toronto Korean Festival! Enjoy K-pop performances from emerging acts, a hanbok fashion show, traditional Korean performances and even a K-beauty pavilion!
BTS at Rogers Stadium

Rogers Stadium is about to be transformed into a full K-pop celebration: the biggest K-pop group in the world, BTS, will be performing for two nights in the city! There will be plenty of ways to celebrate leading up to the concert, including a pre-show shopping day for merchandise on Friday.
Afro-Carib Fest
Ontario’s largest celebration of Afro-Caribbean culture is back this weekend! Enjoy live performances, a cultural parade, vendor marketplace, food zone, dance competitions and so much more.
Yorkville Murals

Yorkville is going to be transformed into a massive, two-day art festival this weekend, and it’s going to be literally larger-than-life. Expect entire streets and walls to be covered by murals created by incredible artists, as well as inflatable art, immersive installations, live painting, dance battles and more.
Jimmy Eat World and PUP at RBC Amphitheatre
Jimmy Eat World are celebrating 25 years of their breakout album Bleed American with an anniversary tour — including a stop in Toronto with a very special Canadian surprise. Toronto’s own rock band PUP will be joining them!
Ed Sheeran at Rogers Centre

Everyone’s favourite redhead is taking the stage in Toronto this week for three back-to-back shows. He’s bringing the Loop tour to the city and fans can expect hits from his recent album, Play, as well as all-timers like “Shape of You,” “Thinking Out Loud” and “Photograph.”
