Edmonton is home to so many great things to do this weekend, especially as the summer ends and heads into the crisp fall season.

For those loving autumnal vibes, you’re definitely in paradise. With fun events like the corn maze and Fall-O-Ween, people can already jump into the colorful atmosphere of fall. Though for those still holding on to the last remnants of summer, you can still get some action before the cold weather bares its teeth with fun festivals and weekend block parties.

No matter what your vibe is, we’ve rounded up a whole bunch of things to do in Edmonton that you’re sure to love. Without further ado, let’s get into them.

This corn maze sits west of Edmonton and features outdoorsy, family-friendly fun from August to October. Complete with farm animals, spud gun launches, mini golf, a popular sunflower stroll, photo opportunities, and a pumpkin patch coming this fall, this experience truly offers it all.

When: Now until Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday; 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 51529 Range Rd. 262, Spruce Grove, Alta.
Cost: $15+

Following an incredible inaugural year, Down by the River is back for more riverfront action. From Sept. 18 to Sept. 20, this three-day musical celebration will take over Louise McKinney Riverfront Park. From 1 p.m. each day onwards, the park will be lit up with performances, a market, food and drink opportunities, and more.

When: Friday, Sept. 18, to Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026
Time: Starting at 1 p.m. each day
Where: 9999 Grierson Hill NW, Edmonton, Alta.

“We don’t fit the frame. We create it.

Walk the red carpet, watch the top short films by Muslim Creatives on the big screen, and celebrate the filmmakers with awards presented by their distinguished jury. The gala will also feature live performances throughout the evening, including:

  • Tamtam, a Saudi singer-songwriter and cultural pioneer based in Riyadh. She performed on the official Coca-Cola anthem for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and has performed across the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S., using music as a force for connection, unity, and change.
  • Faris Hytiaa is a comedian who has worked with the likes of Hasan Minhaj, Mo Amer, and Neal Brennan, and has become a fixture on CBC’s The Debaters. With albums on SiriusXM and CBC Radio, Faris also debuted on CraveTV in Season 5 of Roast Battles Canada in 2026. His second album, Homesick., was the first comedy album by an Alberta-based comedian to be nominated for a Juno Award.

Edmonton Expo is the city’s most popular and premier comic and entertainment convention. With special guests, large attractions, meet-and-greet opportunities, and more, this convention lights up the Edmonton Expo Centre with geeky charm.

When: Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, to Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026
Time: 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday

This coming September, Climb YEG’s facility is going to be bursting with energy for the annual Rocktoberfest festivities. Whether you’re climbing or cheering, this awesome community event is not one you’re going to want to miss. With music, food, beer, and climbing activities all day long, there’s going to be no shortage of excitement at this festival.

When: Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, to Monday, Sept. 21, 2026

The Edmonton Gallery Walk is coming to Edmonton this month for a weekend of gallery art galore. Visitors will be invited to check out new exhibitions, meet local gallery owners, and explore the vibrant art scene located on 124th Street.

When: Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026
Time: Individual gallery hours on Saturday; Noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday

Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm is a u-pick farm open daily during the summer. According to the farm, it’s been open since 1956 and continues to be one of the Edmonton area’s best agricultural hot spots. It also hosts a ton of seasonal festivals like its fall festival: Fall-O-Ween, which brings mazes, train rides, and fun autumnal activities.

The downtown streets have been bursting with electric energy all summer long in the name of community. Live music, patio vibes, and local businesses are what this Summer Block Party series is all about, and it’s going to make sure the last block party of the season gets the kickoff it deserves.

Where: Rice Howard Way Entertainment District, Edmonton, Alta.

Cannons is heading to Edmonton as part of their Everything Glows tour. This 18-and-over indie-pop concert will have you on your feet, dancing the night away.

This is Edmonton’s largest and longest-standing outdoor market, offering over 200 vendors and a wonderful variety of handmade goods and locally produced treats. It’s a great community-driven market that’s perfect for those looking to get closer to bakers, chefs, artisans, and more.
