If you’re spending Easter weekend in Calgary and need some plans, we’ve got you covered. From festive city events to spring activities, the city is egg-stra full of things to do.

Whether you’re heading out with friends, making plans with the family, or just looking to get out of the house, here are 10 of the best things to do in the city this weekend.

Celebrate Easter with a wild twist at the Calgary Zoo, where families can explore Easter activities, seasonal treats, and festive surprises set up all throughout the park. It’s a full day of fun, making it one of the city’s most popular holiday events.

When: Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 210 St. Georges Dr. NE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Included with general admission

An easter egg hunt, but make it science! The Telus Spark Science Centre is turning the entire space into an interactive easter egg hunt filled with hidden surprises, cool exhibits, and hands-on experiences.

When: Friday, April 3 to Sunday, April 5 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 220 St. Georges Dr. NE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Included with general admission

Enjoy a family-style Easter dinner inspired by Italian traditions, hosted by Chef Josh Cocca of Strega Nona and Chef Garret Mitchell of Food Works. The evening features a multi-course communal meal inspired by Italian customs, using seasonal ingredients from coastal British Columbia and Alberta. Guests can also enjoy curated wine for purchase, digestivos, and a few surprises along the way.

Time: Two seating options: 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

If you’re an animal lover, then this event is for you. Butterfield Acres is hosting their Spring Babies Festival this weekend, where you can get up close to adorable baby animals, take pony rides, and spend a whole day outside with your family.
