Okay, Calgary. As we know, the weather has been a bit of a whirlwind lately, and honestly, it has felt like we have gone through every season in a matter of days. But luckily, things are starting to look up!

According to The Weather Network, temperatures will reach a high of 22° C on Tuesday, April 21, which feels like a pretty good reason to start making plans again.

And the timing works out because there is quite a bit happening around the city this week.

This one is for anyone who loves animals, nature, or thinks penguins are elite. National Geographic is bringing a live show to the city where you can get a closer look at the frozen world of Antarctica, and the many penguin species that call it home.

If your week needs something a bit more elevated, Diana Krall is bringing her signature jazz sound to Calgary. The Grammy-winning Canadian singer and pianist has built a career that spans decades, with multiple chart-topping albums.

The Calgary International Beerfest is just under two weeks away, and tickets are moving fast, so now is the time to secure your spot.

If your idea of fun involves ghost stories and old buildings, this one is for you. Heritage Park’s Spring Ghost Tours let you explore the park after dark and hear ghost stories tied to Calgary’s history.
