Weekend plans looking a little empty? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Calgary is packed with plenty of things to do over the next few days, and although the forecast isn’t looking quite as warm as last week, there’s still plenty of reason to get out and enjoy the city.

We did all of the searching for you, so all that’s left to do is scroll through and decide what you want to check out first.

Spend an evening at the Calgary Zoo with a drink in hand at Cocktails for Conservation. The 18+ event will feature beverages from local vendors, food stations throughout the zoo and a chance to explore the gardens and animal exhibits after dark.

When: Friday, Aug. 7, 2026
Time: 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Calgary Zoo – 210 St. George’s Dr. NE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: $139 plus GST

Heritage Park has plenty of historic stories, but some are stranger than others. The Curiosities and Oddities Walking Tour takes you through the park’s hidden corners where you’ll uncover strange facts and the quirky details behind some of its most iconic buildings.

When: Friday, Aug. 7, 2026
Time: 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Calgary Zoo – 210 St. George’s Dr. NE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: $24.95

A new free outdoor movie series is kicking off this weekend at the BMO Amphitheatre. Head over on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, for a screening of Night at the Museum along with pre-movie entertainment and a free bag of popcorn for the first 200 guests. You can also stop by the SAM Centre next door for free entry from 4 to 5 p.m.

Time: 4 to 5 p.m. (pre-movie entertainment); 5:30 p.m. (movie begins)

Calling all collectors, Collect X is coming to Calgary with a weekend dedicated to trading and collectibles. The event will feature hundreds of tables filled with Pokémon cards, sports cards, and pop culture collectibles, giving attendees a chance to browse, buy, sell, and connect with other collectors.

When: Saturday, Aug. 8, to Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Seven Chiefs Sportsplex and Jim Starlight Centre – 19 Bullhead Rd., Priddis, Alta.

World Supercross is coming to McMahon Stadium for a night of fast-paced racing, live entertainment and intense competition. Fans can catch riders take on a custom-built dirt track, with nonstop action from start to finish.

When: Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026
Time: Fan Zone opens at 1 p.m., and races begin at 7 p.m.
Where: McMahon Stadium – 1817 Crowchild Tr. NW, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Tickets start at $20 plus booking fees

Calling all cat parents, this one’s for you. Calgary’s Cat Walk Fundraiser lets you bring your cat along for a stroll while raising money for the ARTS Senior Animal Rescue. It’s a great opportunity to meet other cat lovers and give your furry friend a little adventure.

When: Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026
Time: 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: Pearce Estate Park – 1440 17A St. SE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: $25 per ticket

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear that pink outfit that’s been sitting at the back of your closet, this is it. Calgary’s first Rosé Disco is bringing an afternoon of wine, food, and music to the Confluence, all set against a pink-and-white backdrop.

Set in the middle of Alberta’s farmland, this field-to-table event invites guests to enjoy an outdoor dinner featuring locally inspired dishes created by some of Alberta’s top chefs.

One of Calgary’s biggest neighbourhood festivals is back! Marda Gras will transform Marda Loop into a pedestrian-friendly party with hundreds of vendors, local eats and a pet pageant.

Round up your crew and get ready to compete in an outdoor scavenger hunt at The Confluence. Teams will explore the park, solve clues and put their detective skills to the test for a chance to win a grand prize.
