Edmonton is heating up and shows no signs of slowing down, and we don’t just mean the weather. From the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final to a handful of concerts, to a Pride kick-off party, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Edmonton this week (June 2-6).

This 45-minute virtual reality experience immerses you in the largest and oldest pyramid on the Giza Plateau, and the last wonder of the ancient world: Khufu. So if you’ve always wanted to learn more about ancient Egyptian culture, this is a pretty neat experience to check out.

When: Monday, June 2 to Sep. 5, 2025

Cost: $27.95 per child, $39.45 per adult

The Oilers face off against the Panthers at Rogers Place for the 2025 Stanley Cup Final Home Games 1 and 2, and tickets cost a pretty penny. But either of these games could be serious game-changers!

When: Wednesday, June 4 and Friday, June 6, 2025
Where: 10220 104th Ave.
Cost: $902+

The Edmonton Riverhawks are up against the Victoria HarbourCats at the Home Opener at RE/MAX Field this week. Enjoy the start of baseball season with your pals, a couple of hot dogs, and a roaring crowd of fans.

The evening begins with fun pre-game festivities, which include a traditional hoop dance performance.

Nextfest is a huge arts festival hosted at The Roxy Theatre every year. For 11 days of the festival, Nextfest showcases the work of emerging performing, dance, film, music, and visual artists, and this year will feature over 40 events, performances, workshops, and galleries. You can also check out one of their infamous Nite Clubs.

Edmonton Opera presents the next chapter of Wagner’s Ring Cycle with Die Walküre, a production that truly pushes the boundaries of opera. The show promises to be captivating and leave you anticipating each scene as it comes, featuring the conducting debut of Russell Braun.

UNCEDED: Voices of the Land is a groundbreaking exhibition celebrating Indigenous architecture, creativity, joy, and resilience. The experience is open in Edmonton until June 21, 2025, and on weekends, visitors have the added bonus of being able to check out a pop-up market hosting local Indigenous artists and vendors.

Kyle Cooke is bringing his Sendy Sessions Tour to Edmonton on Friday, June 6, 2025.

Edmonton Pride kicks off with a night on the town at Evolution Wonderlounge with Lady Luck behind the turntables. So get ready to enjoy dancing the night away, with two bars, and no cover if you’re in when doors open at 10 p.m.

Cost: Free admission before 10 p.m., or $5 per person

American rock group The Wallflowers originated as a roots rock band and has since evolved into a project led by multi-instrumentalist Jakob Dylan. They’re coming to Edmonton on Friday, June 6, 2025.
