Get ready for another beautiful week in Vancouver filled with outdoor movies, open-air concerts, and just about every kind of summer festivity you can think of. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (July 7-11).

This year’s Deckchair Cinema at Cates Deck in North Vancouver has officially kicked off its Summer of Sci-Fi, and this week, you can check out Universal Language, which will be accompanied by live music.

All screenings begin at sunset.

VCT’s free Summer Sounds open-air concert series is back at šxʷƛ̓exən Xwtl’a7shn (Vancouver Art Gallery plaza) with weekly local collabs, live DJs, and international artists. This Thursday, July 10, 2025, marks the Indian Summer Festival Spotlight, which will feature live music by Surrey-based artists Sejal Lal and Surya Brass Band, the soundscapes of Vancouver’s kraKIN, and Juno-nominee Ruby Singh.

From mini markets to plaza concerts to outdoor yoga, there are a ton of free events to check out in South Granville this month. This week, you’ve got a chance to peruse the Graze Mini Market and enjoy a complimentary wine tasting at South Granville Plaza West on Friday, July 10, 2025.

Catoro, a cat cafe in Mount Pleasant, is hosting a series of movie nights where guests can enjoy a cozy movie with a furry friend and a complimentary drink. The next movie night is on Thursday, July 10, 2025, and the cafe will be screening Flow at 7:30 p.m.
