The sun is shining and Vancouver is coming to life with cultural festivals, Shakespeare at the beach, and pop-up concerts. So grab your sunblock and get ready to soak it all in: here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (June 9 to 13).

The 2025 Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival returns to Vanier Park this week, and it’s kicking off with Much Ado About Nothing and The Two Gentlemen of Verona. So get ready for an outdoor theatre production like no other.

When: Tuesday, June 10, 2025 to Tuesday, September 30, 2025
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: 1695 Whyte Ave.
Cost: $35 to $88 per person

Vancouver’s new women’s soccer club is up against AFC Toronto this Wednesday, June 11, 2025, and it’s the perfect opportunity to cheer on rising Canadian talent.

When: Wednesday, June 11, 2025
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: 6100 Boundary Rd., Burnaby
Cost: $23.56+

Cheer on the Vancouver Canadians at the Nat as they go up against the Spokane Indians this week! There are games daily from Tuesday, June 10, to Friday, June 13, 2025.

Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard is not just a homegrown acting talent in Vancouver, but a rising musician, having experimented with music since early childhood. This week, he’ll be debuting his first solo release at the Rickshaw stage, following his work with the bands Calpurnia and The Aubreys.

Since 1990, Le Centre culturel francophone de Vancouver has put on the Festival d’été francophone de Vancouver (Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival), one of the most important cultural and musical francophone events in Western Canada. This year will be no different, hosting a week of concerts celebrating international francophone music.

When: Wednesday, June 11, 2025 to Saturday, June 21, 2025
Time: 8 p.m.
Where: 1551 West 7th Ave.

Free pop-up concerts are back in Mount Pleasant this summer, and it’s already the second week of the series. This Wednesday, June 11, 2025, Dust Cwaine will perform at Main Street and East 14th, and on Thursday, June 12, 2025, the Fox Hop Quartet will perform at the East 21st Avenue Plaza.

When: Wednesdays and Thursdays starting Wednesday, June 4, 2025
Time: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Main Street and East 14th Avenue, and Main Street and 21st Avenue

Riverdance is a fusion of Irish and international dance and music, capturing the hearts of millions of viewers worldwide in a Grammy-winning performance. In honour of the production’s 30-year milestone, Riverdance is going on a special anniversary tour, which is coming to Vancouver this week. The special show features new choreography, costumes, lighting, and graphics, welcoming a new generation of performers who were not yet born when the original show began 30 years ago.

When: Tuesday, June 10 to Sunday, June 15
Time: Shows at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., depending on the day

CityScape Community ArtSpace in North Vancouver is hosting a new exhibition titled Through the Garden Gates, a vibrant display of 2D and 3D artwork inspired by domestic floral and botanicals.

When: Opening Exhibition on Friday, June 13, 2025, runs until Friday, July 18, 2025
Time: 6 to 8 p.m.

Friday evening run, anyone? Vesta Properties is having a family-friendly run followed by games, a live band, a full BBQ meal, and an on-site pub, all the while supporting the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. If there’s anything that can get us running at the end of the work week, it’s the promise of food and drinks.

The beloved Richmond Night Market is in its 25th year, complete with hundreds of international street food booths, local retail vendors, and a first-of-its-kind zipline.
