Another week, another roundup of fun excursions and activities around the city. From Stars on Ice skating into Rogers Arena to the very first Shipyards Night Market of the year to a massive wine tasting event, here are 10 of the best things to do in Vancouver this week (May 12-16).

The 2025 Stars on Ice tour is bringing the theme of “Rock Stars on Ice” to life through an exciting performance of world-class figure skating at Rogers Arena this week, and it’s not too late to snag tickets.

When: Tuesday, May 13, 2025
Where: 800 Griffiths Way
Cost: $47.20+

With over 50 international, terroir-focused wineries, Top Drop Vancouver is a massive tasting event held at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This year’s roster of participants includes Canadian wineries and ones from Chile, Italy, France, Australia, and many more.

When: Tuesday, May 13, 2025
Where: 181 Roundhouse Mews
Cost: $135 per person

The North Shore Light Opera Society and Presentation House Theatre are hosting a magnificent night of Mozart’s Magic Flute, the story reimagined in a corporate, technical world.

When: Thursday, May 15, 2025 to Sunday, May 25, 2025
Where: 333 Chesterfield Ave., North Vancouver
Cost: $20 to $30 per person

The beloved Shipyards Night Market will be back every Friday starting May 16, 2025, with a delicious array of food truck eats, live DJ sets, and a beer garden. Each night market will take place from 3 to 10 p.m. at Shipbuilders Square.

When: Every Friday from May 16 to September 12, 2025
Where: 19 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver
Cost: Free admission

Directed by Andrew Kushnir, the story of Casey and Diana by Nick Green is coming to the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage from the end of April through Sunday, May 25, 2025. Based on true events, the powerful drama is set in 1991 during the peak of the AIDS crisis, when Diana, Princess of Wales, makes a historic visit to Casey House, Canada’s first freestanding AIDS hospice.

When: Now until Sunday, May 25, 2025

This free public market has a licensed patio and has transformed customized shipping containers into an array of rotating pop-ups, vendors, and live entertainment space. Junction Public Market will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday starting May 1, 2025.

When: Open from Tuesday to Sunday
Where: 200 Granville St.
Cost: Free admission

This week, the Vancouver Canadians are facing off against the Everett AquaSox on Tuesday, May 13, Wednesday, May 14, Thursday, May 15, and Friday, May 16, 2025.

When: Tuesday, May 13, 2025, to Friday, May 16, 2025
Where: 4601 Ontario St.
Cost: $20+

The Improv Centre has a new comedy show featuring one lucky improviser looking for love. Inspired by the hit reality series The Bachelor, the show is created entirely by suggestions from the audience, meaning no two nights will be the same.

When: Fridays and Saturdays from Thursday, April 17, to May 31, 2025
Where: 1502 Duranleau St.
Cost: $35 per person

The 25th annual Richmond Night Market has officially kicked off with hundreds of international street food stalls to check out, as well as a first-ever zipline over the night market.

When: Open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until October 2025
Where: 8351 River Rd., Richmond
Cost: $7 for GA

From Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can check out MONOVA’s rich museum collection, Echoes of Memory, which weaves together over 100 pieces telling untold stories of aging and memory loss and the power of community in the human experience.

When: Wednesday to Sunday until June 2025
Where: 115 Esplanade West, North Vancouver
Cost: Free with museum admission
