This week has got it all, from big-name concerts like Alessia Cara to Vancouver Canadians and Whitecaps games to one of the best tech conferences around. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (May 26 to 30).

Known for his chart-topping Bitter Suite Love album, James Arthur is a British star on the rise, seamlessly blending pop, rock, Americana, and indie into a sound of his own. He’ll be performing at the Commodore this Monday, May 26, 2025.

Known as one of the best tech conferences around, Web Summit Vancouver brings together thousands of international entrepreneurs, investors, media outlets, and global leaders for a once-in-a-blue-moon event that covers all things emerging in the tech, business, and science worlds.

When: Tuesday, May 27, 2025, to Friday, May 30, 2025
Where: 4601 Ontario St.
Cost: $835 for general attendees

Toronto’s Alessia Cara has been creating musical hits since the tender age of 18, now amassing worldwide acclaim, five Juno awards, and a 2018 Grammy for Best New Artist. She brings her fourth album, Love & Hyperbole, to the stage on her new tour to Vancouver at the start of this week.

Looking for something fun to bring the whole family to this week? Head to Granville Island for this year’s Vancouver International Children’s Festival, which hosts performances from around the world for kids and families of all ages, from puppetry and circus acts to theatre, music, dance, and much more. The Activity Village is also included in ticket prices, with over 12 different arts activities to take part in.

The Nat Bailey Stadium will be busy this week with games lined up every day of the week between the Vancouver Canadians and the Hillsboro Hops. Why not catch a mid-week game with some pals as an excuse to root for your home team and indulge in a couple of stadium eats?

The Whitecaps are battling it out against the Minnesota United at BC Place, which means it’s time to don your blue and white.

The Improv Centre’s comedy show The Bachelor-ish wraps up at the end of the week, so your last chance to catch one lucky improviser looking for love is Friday, May 30, 2025 (and Saturday, May 31, 2025).

The next Shipyards Night Market falls on Friday, May 30, 2025, and will feature a delicious variety of food truck eats, live DJs, and a beer garden, taking place from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Shipbuilders Square.

Where: The Shipyards, North Vancouver
Cost: Free admission

From Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can check out MONOVA’s rich museum collection, Echoes of Memory, which weaves together over 100 pieces telling untold stories of aging and memory loss and the power of community in the human experience.

When: Wednesday to Sunday until June 2025
Where: 115 Esplanade West, North Vancouver
Cost: Free with museum admission
