Another week, another roundup. And since it’s officially fall, we’re here to bring a mix of concerts, arts and culture events, and games onto your radar. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (Sept. 22-26).

Legendary British rock band The Who is making its final rounds on its last-ever North American tour. So if you’ve always wanted to see them perform their iconic songs like “Baba O’Riley,” “My Generation,” and “Pinball Wizard” live, now is your chance!

When: Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025
Time: 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: 800 Griffiths Way
Cost: $56.90+

Heads up, Star Wars loves. The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (VSO) is performing your favourite sci-fi franchise in concert, complete with the full John Williams score.

When: Thursday, Sept. 25 and Friday, Sept. 26, 2025
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: 601 Smithe St. 
Cost: $35 to $110 per person

Cheer on the Whitecaps this week as they face off against the Portland Timbers at BC Place.

When: Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025

Mac DeMarco has announced a tour of the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and his native Canada. The first show is slated to take place on Friday, August 29, at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. By then, we are likely to have a new Mac DeMarco album, as the musician said in a statement, “I have an album coming in August, see you at the shows.”

DeMarco released his latest works, Five Easy Hot Dogs and the massive compilation One Wayne G, in 2023. He’s more recently shared collaborative songs with Eyedress, Alan Palomo, and Ryan Paris.

Founded in 1997, AFC is the world’s leading artist group supporting the environment, and comprises hundreds of the most gifted nature artists from across the globe. This week, the group is bringing their world-class art exhibit to VanDusen, where you’ll be able to enjoy nature-themed paintings and sculptures included in your garden admission.

When: Thursday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 5251 Oak St. 
Cost: $15.05 per adult for garden admission

Emmy-winning stand-up comic, writer, and actress Wanda Sykes is Vancouver-bound, and she’ll be performing her Please & Thank You Tour alongside special Guest Keith Robinson on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

When: Friday, Sept. 26, 2025
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: 630 Hamilton St. 
Cost: $71.05

Another game, anyone? The BC Lions are up against the Toronto Argonauts at BC Place this Friday, and die-hard football fans won’t want to miss it.

Heads up, Canucks fans! You can catch a game against the Seattle Kraken at Rogers Arena this Friday. Grab your blue and white and get ready to cheer as loudly as you can.

It’s not too late to check out the amazing productions at this year’s Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival. You can still catch Much Ado About Nothing, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again], and/or The Dark Lady.

The Richmond Night Market is in its 25th year, complete with hundreds of international street food booths, local retail vendors, and a first-of-its-kind zipline.
